Can't stay mad at him for long.Okay, so I'm not really a huge fan of my son right now...the first one. I realize he's just having a bad day, week, whatever. And he just is emotional and tired. So am I...so he's driving me absolutely crazy! He has become a hitter. He pretty much only does it when we're in our own home to his friends and his brother. It makes me so mad! Sometimes it feels so good to just get it out and say that I'm mad at him. But I love him more than words. Aaaahhhhh!!! Now I'm going to go and read the verse below. Again. And again. And then some more....

It's never too early to share w/him verses about how we should treat others. I did this my first and was surprised how effective it was at an early age. When my boy was about the same age as Parker I bought the book "Proverbs for Parenting" - it is full of verses based on any topic you can think of. It was very helpful. I guess you didn't ask for advice, but thought I'd share in case it might be helpful to you.

Kids can be stinkers! There's NO kid out there that is nice, and well behaved ALL the time!
Ella has started this also (but I guess it's a little different since her brothers are older). Sometimes they actually deserve it!
We instantly put her in time out and act very disappointed. : )

Hmmm... LOVED Wendy's idea and I may have to look for that book. I don't have to worry about hitting Devyn, just tantrums and screaming. (Yuck!) I've decided that I like the 2's more than the 3's. Hang in there friend, no one said this parenting stuff was easy (or fun for that matter). =)

I think it must be going around. Avery isn't hitting, but BOY is she being CRABBY and whiny! Good thing that we get to start a NEW day every morning!
